The HAL Dhruv is an indigenously developed twin engine, advanced light utility helicopter designed and developed by the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). HAL Dhruv has been developed for both military and civil use. The military version of the helicopter is used for transport, utility, reconnaissance and medical evacuation including high altitude and over sea operations. Different versions of the helicopter are in service with IAF, IA, IN, Coast Guard, BSF and some civil agencies as well.
